I am visiting College with my parents. There are two art shows going on. I see my brother-in-law at the door as well as Professor Bockelman. I decide that I never truly thanked Bockelman for being such an influence on me and decide to write him a letter.

I am starting a new year in college at Concordia University and I am getting a canvas prepared for a painting. I am excited about taking my art in a new direction. It is Saturday, but I see Professor Bockelman walking down the hall in the basement of the art building. I hurry up to catch him because I haven’t seen him since the year before. I ask him what he is doing here on a Saturday and he says that the electricity is out at his house. As he says this the power goes off except for a dim light bulb.

I am back at college starting my senior year. At breakfast I see my friend Kevin Hendrickson from high school. As we eat we look out the cafeteria window at the new football stadium that is being built. There are 5 rows of windows that stretch accross the whole side of the structure. They are doing a test to see how the windows will all open. Since it isn’t automated yet, there is a person behind each triangular window operating it. As the windows open a choir is singing in a pattern that matches the rhythm of the windows opening and closing.

I am back in college getting ready to start a new year. We are moving into the dorms and catching up with friends. Eric Schlef (a high school friend) wants to show me a video. It is an impressive car chase scene that ends with huge explosions. He tells me that it is a video he made for a contest and he made all the special effects himself.
